So if you're ever in a game where the cheats are enabled,
you'll need to have this information handy.

 

 

EXTRA TIPS

You can defend your land easily with just a couple of catapults. Position a catapult about 5-10 spaces away from the coast. When a transport lands troops, they are always bunched up. Your catapult will fire at the group and probably hit most of them and destroy them.

Play defensively for the first 5 minutes, (unless your planning a rush) coz if you stop his first attack easily, he'll have no army left so you can counter strike with little opposition

If your partner loses his land, counter strike the land he lost. Usually the opponent hasn't built a lot on the newly conquered land so it will be easy to retake.

If the game has been going on a long time. use chariots since they don't cost gold.
Play the war of attrition.

Never spit directly into the wind

When attacking. try to destroy economy related things like villigers and houses. Military unit can be easily replaced with a steady flow of resouces, but if you cut off his flow, his army will shrink.

Try to coordinate attacks in 2 locations. If your opponent has to defend 2 attacks
at once he'll have a tough time.

If you can slow down his economy in the start, you will have a big advantage

Always have your villigers doing something. if they are standing around they are useless

Keep playing and learn new tactics. Then make sure you don't lose to the same
tactic twice

If you aren't sure if your opponent is on your land or not. take a villiger and click build a house. Drag the house around your land. It will turn red if you can't build in a certain spot (If it does this in a spot where you should be able to build)
bingo, you've located where he has his buildings.

 

TAKING SCREENSHOTS

Many players are wondering how I can take those screenshots I have on this page. Some say u need to download a special program for it, like SnapScan. Others say you should press "Print Screen" on your keyboard.

"Print Screen" works pretty good, but it only alows you to take one screenshot of each game and sometimes you want to take more then just one shot.

Well. You don't have to download a program or use "Print Screen"! AOE and ROR has a screencapture program built in to the game. All you have to do is to press Ctrl+F12 during the game to take a screenshot, and you can do that as many times you like during one game! When I tell them that they often say they tried that but nothing happened. But it actually did, the screenshots you took will show up in your game folder. The easiest way to find them, that's what I think, is to go to your computers search program and search for "expansion". Then it will pop up a folder called expasion and there they are.
